Formats and Film Conversion

DyneTEC’s converting services can be customized to customer unique specifications. We can slit a variety of materials to custom widths and rewind to custom lengths or roll sizes. Protective masks can be applied to the front and rear surfaces of the film. Slitting solutions are frequently designed with our customer’s manufacturing systems in mind.

FILM CONVERSION CAPABILITIES

Films can be supplied in roll format or can be converted into sheets or final parts. DyneTEC can slit roll materials down to custom widths. Common roll widths include:

Imperial

  • 10″
  • 12″
  • 20.5″
  • 24″
  • 36″

 

Metric

  • 250 mm
  • 500 mm
  • 1,000 mm

 

Protective maskings can be applied to one or both surfaces. Optical and non-optical pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) with a release liner can be applied to either surface of the film to allow for easy installation to the next higher assembly. Rolls of similar and different materials can be optically and non-optically laminated.  Custom substrates with thick film hard coatings, custom thicknesses, and unique laminations are available, subject to minimum run and setup requirements.

Rolls can also be converted into sheets or final parts. Standard sheet sizes range from 8” x 10” sized hand sheets to 18″ x 24″. More complex shapes can be converted with laser or die cutting. We can integrate our coated and converted films into the next higher assembly or system as needed by our customers.

We can supply the substrate or toll coat customer supplied materials. Our technical staff have diverse backgrounds relevant to a broad range of high-performance and high reliability markets. For many of our top customers, we function as an extension of their engineering departments, supporting projects from concept to final system delivery.
